an advocate of "do what you feel is real".
My desire to work with actors came from a personal place. I spent the first half of my career as an actor barely even able to call myself one. People would ask me what I did, and I would mumble that I sometimes acted but also served and managed and yadda yadda yadda whatever else I was doing at the time. I couldn’t look someone in the eye and answer, “I’m an actor” when asked the question.
Luckily, that has changed; in great part to me stepping up, getting in my own lane and living the career that is uniquely, distinctly, mine.
I am an actor, writer, producer, director and coach, having spent the last decade dancing between all these roles and finding my feet here, at Cantadora Coaching.
I co-write and produce the award-winning comedy series Girls vs. The City and produce and direct for Dark Matter Theatre.
Previously, I travelled the world, filming and writing for the video blog A Brit and a Broad (now, An Adventurous World).
I have worked with actors at all stages in their careers and found that fundamentally, they all struggle with the same desires, dreams and road blocks. The good thing about this? They are getting in their own way, which means they are able to get out of their own way too.
